Tijuana is a small, laid-back pizza bar on Calle México in Playa de las Américas, a short way off the main strip and close to the Veronicas area. It is popular with both locals and holidaymakers, and it has some of the strongest ratings of any casual place to eat in the area.

The pizzas have thin, crispy bases and generous, fresh toppings, and the Rammstein and Buffalio are among the names diners recommend. There are fried starters, gluten-free options, Italian wines, cold beer and cocktails, all at budget prices. Rock music in the background and a terrace give it a relaxed, lively feel.

Tijuana opens in the evening and stays open until 1am, so it is handy for dinner before a night out in Las Américas or for a late slice afterwards. Because it is tucked away, it is easy to walk past, so look for it on Calle México.
